A State of Higher Transience – the digital remix

When I completed the painting A State of Higher Transience, it didn’t feel finished. Not really. It felt like a pause, not a full stop.

As a child, I was obsessed with the remix. Sometimes I loved the remix more than the original track—but I also knew it couldn’t exist without that original. It was bound to it. Dependent. A kind of beautiful echo.

That thought stayed with me. So I took photographs of the finished painting and began digitally reworking it—remixing it like a track. Pushing it further. Pulling it apart to see what else it could become.

The painting wasn’t the end. It was the start of something else. A seed. A loop. A state of higher transience.
