Blythian States of Phase is a unique framed digital artwork by Dex Hannon, inspired by the shifting landscape of Blyth, Northumberland. Emerging from his experimental animation Blythian Memes, this piece captures the rhythm and energy of place through bold forms and abstract colour.

In his walks around Blyth, Hannon absorbs its landmarks — turbines, shipyards, and coastlines — transforming them into visual memes that echo the town’s industrial past and renewable future. The wind turbine stands as a recurring motif, a totem of change and regeneration.
