The most winter of hearts still has passion within itself. This piece is trying to break through the ice and restart the heart. We are frozen at the moment as the Heart Explodes.
To create a sense of movement, I pushed energy and depth through the painting with rough, sharp strokes. I let my unconscious part of the psyche express itself through the painterly gestures and linear brushstrokes. Thanks to the colour palette, I could create a wintry landscape of my mind.
