This painting is an emotional exploration of the idea of perfection, in particular of how people perceive perfection through the distorted lenses of social media.

We all have an idea of what is perfection. We have an idea of other relationships as we see them on social media platforms. They all seem happier than we are. Living perfect lives. We only see the best of what people share about themselves. What lies behind suburban deceptions of happiness and perfection?

This painting is an allegory to the intricate layers of lies and distorted perceptions of happiness presented on social media. We all are part of this matrix of believing that others have a perfect and happier life, by merely seeing a photo. Nobody is perfect. There is chaos, there is destruction. Secrets and lies. All this is reflected through our social media windows.
