Windtwisting at the Church

WindTwisting at the Church is a unique framed digital artwork by Dex Hannon, drawn from his experimental animation Blythian Memes. This piece captures the energy and identity of Blyth, weaving local landmarks and personal memories into a layered digital composition.

Walking through the town with his dogs, Hannon absorbs the familiar quirks of the landscape—structures and symbols that become visual ‘memes’ of place. Within this rhythmic world of shifting patterns, the wind turbine rises as a recurring motif: a modern totem, bridging Blyth’s coal-fired past with its renewable future.
